HB 224 -- DRIVER'S LICENSES OF CONVICTED SEXUAL OFFENDERS (Franz) COMMITTEE OF ORIGIN: Special Committee on Family Services This bill restricts the driver's license of a convicted sexual offender to one year unless the license is issued for a shorter period of time due to other requirements of law. A license will be revoked if the offender fails to register on the Sexual Offender Registry as required by law. The driver's license of a sexual offender will predominately display a unique code or identifier. The fee for the one-year license will be $7.50. The State Highway Patrol may provide a list which includes the full name, address, and Social Security number of registered sexual offenders to the Department of Revenue. FISCAL NOTE: Estimated Cost on General Revenue Fund of $6,000 in FY 2008, $0 in FY 2009, and $0 in FY 2010. Estimated Income on Other State Funds will not exceed $75,000 in FY 2008, FY 2009, and FY 2010.Copyright (c) Missouri House of Representatives
