Summary of the Perfected Version of the Bill

HB 574 -- MISSOURI UNIFORM LAW ENFORCEMENT SYSTEM RECORDS
(St. Onge)

COMMITTEE OF ORIGIN: Transportation

Currently, a record of disposition in any court proceeding
regarding a violation of any state, county, or municipal
ordinance involving an alcohol- or drug-related driving offense
is forwarded to the State Highway Patrol within 15 days of the
proceeding by the clerk of the court in which the proceeding was
held or, at the written direction of the patrol, to the
Department of Revenue. This bill specifies that the department
must receive the record from the clerk in which the court
proceeding was held within seven days of the proceeding. The
department will then have 15 days to forward the record to the
patrol for entry into the Missouri Uniform Law Enforcement
System.

FISCAL NOTE: No impact on state funds in FY 2008, FY 2009, and
FY 2010.
