AN ACT
To amend chapter 386, RSMo, by adding thereto one new section relating to duties of the public service commission.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the state of Missouri, as follows:
Section A. Chapter 386, RSMo, is amended by adding thereto one new section, to be known as section 386.311, to read as follows:
386.311. For any application for approval for the construction of any new electric plant, the commission shall consider any existing planning and zoning plans and building codes governing the area in which the electric plant is to be constructed before approving the final location of such electric plant. Before approval is granted, the commission shall hold at least one public hearing on the application in the county in which the electric plant is to be constructed, and such hearing shall be held in the city, town, or village closest to the proposed location of the electric plant.
