AN ACT

To repeal section 227.303, RSMo, and to enact in lieu thereof one new section relating to the designation of a memorial highway.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the state of Missouri, as follows:

            Section A. Section 227.303, RSMo, is repealed and one new section enacted in lieu thereof, to be known as section 227.303, to read as follows:

            227.303. The portion of interstate highway 70 within a city not within a county to the border with the state of Illinois [shall be] formerly designated as the "Mark McGwire Highway" shall be renamed the "John F. Bass Memorial Highway". All signage shall be paid for through private sources and shall meet appropriate specifications as set forth by the department of transportation.
