AN ACT
To amend chapter 386, RSMo, by adding thereto one new section relating to underground power lines.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the state of Missouri, as follows:
Section A. Chapter 386, RSMo, is amended by adding thereto one new section, to be known as section 386.900, to read as follows:
386.900. For any new development, any power line, including but not limited to gas, electric, telephone, and cable lines necessary to furnish permanent electric or other services to a dwelling unit or other structure shall be installed underground. The power lines shall be installed underground with sufficient capacity and suitable material to assure that such dwelling unit or other structure receives safe and adequate service. As used in this section, "dwelling unit" shall mean one or more rooms arranged for the use of one or more individuals living together as a single housekeeping unit, with cooking, living, sanitary, and sleeping facilities.
