AN ACT
To amend chapter 67, RSMo, by adding thereto one new section relating to video services.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the state of Missouri, as follows:
Section A. Chapter 67, RSMo, is amended by adding thereto one new section, to be known as section 67.2716, to read as follows:
67.2716. 1. This section shall be known as and may be cited as the "Cable A La Carte Consumer Choice Act".
2. A video service provider shall comply with all federal laws and regulations governing cable service by offering a basic service tier composed of the required number of local broadcast and public, educational, or governmental channels. All other channels shall be offered on an a la carte basis.
3. Nothing in this section shall prevent a video service provider from offering tiers of service encompassing any or all channels offered on an a la carte basis.
