STATE DEPARTMENTS

: Gives a preference in all state purchasing contracts to certain disabled veterans doing business as Missouri companies when the quality of work is equal or better and the price is the same or less

: Specifies that lease or rental agreements made for public buildings or facilities are public records

: Prohibits any state entity from closing a state highway with a certain traffic volume for a continuous period exceeding 60 days

: Establishes the Minority Business Enterprise and Women's Business Enterprise Oversight Review Committee to assist these business enterprises in bidding on state contracts

: Requires state agencies to engage in energy conservation and state buildings to meet the International Energy Conservation Code

: Requires all language used in new legislation, resolutions, regulations, and other published materials to use respectful language when referring to persons with physical and mental disabilities

: Requires the official dating standard used by the state to be A.D., or Anno Domini, and B.C., or Before Christ

: Defines "certified mail" as it relates to Missouri's laws to include any package or letter carried by a delivery service that offers electronic tracking

: Changes the laws regarding state contracts and public works projects

: Requires the Office of Administration to conduct random audits of certain contractors and subcontractors performing publicly funded construction projects

: Requires the Revisor of Statutes to make all copies of laws, resolutions, and constitutional measures available electronically to the public and eliminates the printing of certain state documents

: Requires any leasehold interest in state-owned property being conveyed to be negotiated at no less than the prevailing fair market value

: Limits the amount a plaintiff can recover in tort actions against the state or its agents, officers, or employees

: Prohibits an agency of the state or any of its officers or employees from disclosing personal information of individuals interacting with the agency with certain exceptions

: Transfers the administration of certain state councils, funds, and duties

: Requires the Governor to submit contract information, except for any privileged attorney-client information, and the total cost of contracting for services as part of his or her state budget request
