AN ACT

To amend chapter 386, RSMo, by adding thereto one new section relating to retail electric suppliers.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the state of Missouri, as follows:

            Section A. Chapter 386, RSMo, is amended by adding thereto one new section, to be known as section 386.900, to read as follows:

            386.900. 1. Retail electric suppliers shall recover costs and earn their currently authorized return on equity on investments and installations of advanced technologies that include voltage regulation technologies which reduce energy consumption, improve grid efficiency, raise or lower voltage dynamically and deemed prudent investments by the commission at the time the investments are made.

            2. As used in this section, the term "retail electric supplier" means any electrical corporation regulated by the commission.
