AN ACT

To amend chapter 407, RSMo, by adding thereto one new section relating to retail businesses.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the state of Missouri, as follows:

            Section A. Chapter 407, RSMo, is amended by adding thereto one new section, to be known as section 407.1425, to read as follows:

            407.1425. Notwithstanding any provision of law to the contrary, no store or shop which sells goods at retail shall be open at any time on Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, and Easter Sunday. The performance of labor, business, and work directly connected to retail sales on such days shall not be allowed.
