AN ACT

To amend chapter 442, RSMo, by adding thereto one new section relating to recorders of deeds.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the state of Missouri, as follows:

            Section A. Chapter 442, RSMo, is amended by adding thereto one new section, to be known as section 442.017, to read as follows:

            442.017. The recorder of deeds of the county in which real estate or property is located upon which a deed transfer has been filed shall provide notice of such deed transfer filing to the last known owner of record of such real estate or property. The recorder of deeds shall provide the notice required under this section by certified mail within ten business days of the deed transfer filing.
