Capitol Tour Information
Missouri State Capitol The State Capitol and the Missouri State Museum is open from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., except on New Year's Day, Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Free guided tours are offered year round and are approximately 45 minutes in length. Free tours of the Missouri State Capitol are provided daily by the Missouri State Museum, excluding some state and federal holidays. Jefferson Landing State Historic Site

Tour the Lohman Building and learn the history of Jefferson City. Jefferson Landing State Historic Site is open March 1 through Labor Day, Tuesday through Saturday. The Lohman Building houses an exhibit on transportation and features a 20-minute film, "Welcome to Missouri State Capital." The film shows every half hour starting at 10 a.m. with the last showing at 3:30 p.m. The Elizabeth Rozier Gallery in the Union Hotel has rotating exhibits on Missouri art, history and culture. Both buildings have free admission. Walk-ins are always welcome in both the Lohman Building and the Union Hotel's Rozier Gallery. For groups of 10 or more, reservations are required to view the 20-minute film, "Welcome to Missouri's State Capital," in the Lohman Building. Governor's Mansion

Mansion The Governor's Mansion is located at 100 Madison Street, just two blocks east of the State Capitol. Free guided tours are offered January through November. During the months of March through May, tours are offered on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays and in the morning tours begin at 9 a.m and are offered every 15 minutes, with the last tour beginning at 11:30 a.m. and in the afternoon tours begin at 1 p.m. and are offered every 15 minutes with the last tour beginning at 2:30 p.m., except on major holidays. During the month of January, February and mid-May through November, tours are on the hour and the half hour from 10 a.m. until the last tour beginning at 11:30 a.m and from 1 p.m. with the last tour beginning at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays, except on major holidays. During December, candlelight tours only are available and no reservations are required; walk-ins only. Cole County Historical Society

Cole County Historical Society Museum, located across the street from the Executive Mansion, is open to the public on Tuesday from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Wednesday through Saturday from noon to 3:30 p.m. Admission for tours is $2 for adults, $.50 for students and children five and under are free.
