Rep. Robert Hilgemann, a Democrat, represents the central corridor of the City of St. Louis (District 64) in the Missouri House of Representatives. He was elected in 1997 in a special.

Rep. Hilgemann formerly worked for Monsanto for 16 years and is currently employed by IBM. Additionally, Rep. Hilgemann is a member of the St. Louis Democratic City Central Committee; board of directors, McRee Town Neighborhood Association; past president, Mid-City Optimists; and the Community Development Agency board from 1988-1992.

Rep. Hilgemann has received the following awards: Monsanto Volunteer award; St. Louis Teachers Local 420, Outstanding Support of Public Education; Labor award; 1998 Riverfront Times Up and Coming Legislator award; and the Working Families award.

Rep. Hilgemann graduated from Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa and received his master’s in information management from Washington University in St. Louis.
