REP. HARRY KENNEDY
91st General Assembly
Rep. Harry Kennedy, a Democrat, represents part of St. Louis City (District 66) in the Missouri House of Representatives.
He is a realtor engaged in residential sales for Gundaker Realtors, 1998 to present. Prior to his legislative duties, Rep. Kennedy was the earnings tax court auditor for the St. Louis City Collector of Revenue. He also worked as a publisher liaison for Midwest Library.
He is a member of the St. Louis Police Citizens Academy and the former vice president of the University of Missouri-St. Louis Alumni Association. Rep. Kennedy attends St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church and participates in a variety of neighborhood organizations, including a member of the Magdalen Community Improvement Corporation. He has helped organize a "Charette" (an architectural symposium) to help revitalize a local business district and has participated in Bevo Day since 1984 and the St. Louis Hill/Francis Park Benefit Run since 1994. He is a board member of the Bevo Long Community Education Center, a member of the Southside Lions Club, and the Federal Budget and Taxation Committee. He is also a Missouri representative to the National Council of State Legislators on Economic and Cultural Development Committee.
A recipient of the University of Missouri-St. Louis (UMSL) Alumni Service Award in 1988, he has also received the Power Up award for his work on behalf of the disabled community, 1998; and the AIA Appreciation award in 1998.
A graduate of St. Mary's High School, Rep. Kennedy received a bachelor of arts degree in communications from the University of Missouri-St. Louis in 1984. He received a certificate in desktop publishing from Forest Park Community College in 1994.
Born February 21, 1952, in St. Louis, Rep. Kennedy currently resides there.
