REP. JAMES MICHAEL FOLEY

Rep. James Michael Foley, a Democrat, represents part of St. Louis County (District 81) in the Missouri House of Representatives.
Rep. Foley currently serves as the Assistant Majority Floor Leader.
In addition to his legislative duties, Rep. Foley is a small business owner and a pipefitter.
Significant legislative accomplishments for Rep. Foley include: managed health care reform, neighborhood preservation, narrow therapeutic index drugs, municipal capital improvements for St. Louis County, lateral sewer lines and ambulance regulations.
Awards for Rep. Foley include: Freshman Legislator of the Year from North County, Inc; A+ Legislator award for voting for children and public education; Legislator of the Year award from Missouri Academy of Physician Assistants; Service to Education and Certificate of Appreciation from Rittenour School District and Public Education; Missouri Council of Firefighters Legislator of the Year; Missouri State Medical Association Award of Appreciation and the Fraternal Order of Police Appreciation award.
Rep. Foley received a political science degree in 1986 from Quincy College and in 1987 attended Sangomon State University for graduate studies. He is a member of St. Kevin’s Church, Kiwanis Club and the Knights of Columbus. He is a former alderman and past president of the St. Ann Board of Aldermen.
Born February 2, 1964, in St. Louis, Rep. Foley currently resides there with his wife, Melanie Musick Foley and their son, Sean Michael.
