REP. LINDA L. BARTELSMEYER
91st General Assembly
Rep. Linda Bartelsmeyer, a Republican, represents parts of Barry, Lawrence and Newton counties (District 132) in the Missouri House of Representatives.
Rep. Bartelsmeyer was elected to her fourth two-year term in 2000, and serves as vice-chairwoman of the Missouri Film Commission.
Rep. Bartelsmeyer is a member of the following organizations: American Legislative Exchange Council Task Force for Trade and Transportation; National Order of Women Legislators executive board, serving as president-elect; Lawrence County Farm Bureau; Missouri Right to Life; Lawrence County Pachyderms; Bi-County Republican Women's Club; Aurora Chamber of Commerce; Aurora FFA Boosters; Aurora Band Boosters; and the New Hope Missionary Baptist Church.
A 1971 graduate of Jasper High School, Rep. Bartelsmeyer attended Missouri Southern State College. Before serving in the House, she was a pharmacy technician and Aurora Community 2000 Drug-Free coordinator. Rep. Bartelsmeyer also served six years on the Aurora R-VIII Board of Education serving as vice president for two years and president for one year. She has been active in Republican politics on the local, state, and national levels for 27 years.
In addition to her legislative duties, Rep. Bartelsmeyer is a homemaker and a community service volunteer. A Southwest Missouri native, she lives with her husband Bob Bartelsmeyer, Lawrence County clerk. They have two children: Jonathan and Kristiana.
