Rep. Christopher L.
Shoemaker, a Republican, represents Linn, Macon and Shelby counties (District
8) in the Missouri House of Representatives.
He was elected in November
2001 to fill an unexpired term and re-elected in November 2002 for a two-year
term.
In addition to his
legislative duties, Rep. Shoemaker is working on an MBA program at William
Woods University. He also served in the
United States Air Force.
Rep. Shoemaker is a member
of Immaculate Conception Parish in Macon, Mo.; Missouri leadership council for
N.F.I.B.; current board member of YMCA, Long Branch, Macon, Mo., and a past
Macon city councilman.
He received the Air Force Commendation Medal from July 11, 1983
to September 30, 1986. Rep Shoemaker is
also an honor graduate from the Air Training Command, United States.
A 1977 graduate of Macon
High School, Rep. Shoemaker received an associates degree in general education
from Moberly Area Community College in 1979, a bachelor of science degree in
business management from Truman State University in 1982, and an associate’s
degree in applied science, maintenance production management, from Community
College of Air Force.
Born November 21, 1958, Rep.
Shoemaker resides in Macon with his wife Tammy. They have three children:
Justin, Austin and Amanda.
