Rep.
Doug Ervin, a Republican, represents part of Clay County (District 35), which
includes: Kearney, Smithville, Holt, Mosby, Pleasant Valley, Missouri City, and
a portion of Kansas City in the Missouri House of Representatives. He was
elected to the House in November 2002.
In
addition to his legislative duties, Rep. Ervin is the owner of a wildlife
damage management business in Kearney, and previously a senior engineering
manager for Cerner Corporation.
Rep.
Ervin is a member of Kearney First Baptist Church, where he serves as
deacon. He also serves on the Nehemiah
Center board of directors. He is a
member of the Kearney Chamber of Commerce, Smithville Chamber of Commerce, and
Missouri Farm Bureau.
A
1985 graduate of Kearney High School, Rep. Ervin received dual degrees in
mathematics and business administration from William Jewell College in
1988.
Born
November 7, 1966, Rep. Ervin resides in rural Clay County near Kearney with his
wife, Traci. Together they are raising
three children: Kayla, Kristen and
Kasey.
