REP. JOHN PATRICK BURNETT

 

92nd General Assembly

 

Rep. John Patrick Burnett, a Democrat, represents part of Jackson County (District 40) in the Missouri House of Representatives.  He was elected to the House in November 2002.

 

In addition to his legislative duties, Rep. Burnett is a practicing attorney with 24 years experience.

 

Rep. Burnett is a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church.

 

A 1964 graduate of East High School, Rep. Burnett received an associate’s degree in liberal arts from Penn Valley Community College in 1971 and his bachelor of arts in political science from the University of Missouri-Kansas City in 1975.  He received his juris doctor in 1978 from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law.

 

Born in 1946 in Kansas City, Rep. Burnett resides there with his wife Ingrid.  They have three children:  Elizabeth, Nicole and Sean.
