92nd General Assembly
Rep.
Brian Yates, a Republican, represents part of Jackson County (District 56) in
the Missouri House of Representatives. Elected
to the House in November 2002, Rep. Yates serves as president of the freshman class.
In
addition to his legislative duties, Rep. Yates is an attorney licensed in
Missouri and Kansas.
Rep.
Yates is a member of St. Anne’s Episcopal Church of Lee’s Summit; Lee’s Summit
Sunrise Rotary Club; Lee’s Summit and Blue Springs Chamber of Commerce; Missouri
Bar Association; American Bar Association; Jackson County Republican Leadership
Council; Lee’s Summit Republican Club; Greater Kansas City Pachyderm Club; and
the American Legislative Exchange Council.
Rep.
Yates received a bachelor of arts degree from the University of
Missouri-Columbia and a juris doctor from the University of Missouri-Columbia
School of Law, where he was a member of Journal of Dispute Resolution.
Born
August 28, 1975 in Kansas City, Rep. Yates lives in Lee’s Summit with his wife,
Kerstin.
