92nd General Assembly
Rep.
Michael Daus, a Democrat, represents part of St. Louis City (District 67) in
the Missouri House of Representatives.
Rep.
Daus was elected in August 2001 to fill an unexpired term.
Prior
to his being elected a state representative, Rep. Daus was a neighborhood
redeveloper from 1996 to 2001. He
acquired, financed, developed and managed residential developments in the 67th
district. He was also a small business
owner from 1990 to 2000.
Rep.
Daus is the great-grandson of Croatian immigrants to the Soulard neighborhood
in St. Louis.
A
founding member of “Neighbors as Investors,” Rep. Daus is a member of the
Morgan Ford Betterment Association; member of Metropolis St. Louis; and is a
member of the following neighborhood associations: Grand Oak Hill, Shaw, Tower
Grove Heights, Parkside South, Fanning and Kingshighway South. He is also a member of the 15th
Ward democrats.
A
1992 graduate of St. Louis University High School, Rep. Daus attended Quincy
College and earned his bachelor of arts and science in 1996 from St. Louis
University specializing in feminist and liberation theology.
Born
January 6, 1974, in St. Louis, Rep. Daus currently resides there. He is married to Patricia Chavez.
