Rep. Thomas E. George, a Democrat, represents part of St. Louis County (District 74) in the Missouri House of Representatives.
In addition to his legislative duties, Rep. George is an electrician and president of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local Union 1. He also served in the Missouri Army National Guard.
In 1992 Rep. George was honored as the Thomas F. Eagleton Grass Roots Democrat of the Year.
He is a member of the Knights of Columbus, North County Labor Legislative Club, St. Louis Labor Council, North County Inc., Old Jamestown Association, and the Spanish Lake/St. Ferdinand Democratic Club. Rep. George is also a member of St. Angela Merici Parish.
A graduate of O'Fallon Technical High School, Rep. George completed the four year IBEW Apprenticeship Training School to become a certified electrician. He has also attended classes at Washington University.
Born August 8, 1946, in St. Louis City, Rep. George currently resides in Florissant with his wife, Joanne. They have four children, Thomas Jr., Gena, Tony and Tim, and five grandchildren.
