Rep. Jack Goodman, a Republican, represents part of Lawrence County
(District 132) in the Missouri House of Representatives. He was elected to the House in November
2002.
In addition to his legislative duties, Rep. Goodman is an attorney. He previously served as an assistant
prosecuting attorney in Dade County from 1997-2002.
Rep. Goodman regularly attends St. Susanne’s Catholic Church and First
Baptist Church of Mt. Vernon with his wife.
A charter member of the Mt. Vernon Kiwanis Club, Rep. Goodman is serving
his fifth term on the board of directors.
He is also past president of the39th Judicial Circuit Bar Association; and
member of the Mt. Vernon Rotary Club; Lawrence County Farm Bureau; Decatur
Lodge #400 in Pierce City; Lawrence County Republicans; two-term past
president, Lawrence County Pachyderm Club and Pachyderm state board of
directors. Rep. Goodman is also a
member of several local Chambers of Commerce and served two years as co-chair
and two years as chair of the events committee for the Lawrence County Apple
Butter Makin’ Days festival.
Rep. Goodman has been honored with the Award for Excellence in the Study
of Local Government and the Award for Excellence in the Study of Product
Liability.
A 1991 graduate of Pierce City High School, Rep. Goodman earned a
bachelor’s degree in philosophy from the University of Missouri-Columbia in
1995 and his juris doctor degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia
School of Law in 1998.
